What we have always aimed to achieve at the Allerton Project is to conduct research which is immediately relevant to farmers on the ground, and to disseminate it in as clear a manner as possible. With the greater interest of the wider supply chain and society in issues of food, farming and sustainability in recent years, we have found our remit accordingly expanded. What we hope for this guide is that it goes beyond the basic tenets of ‘regenerative agriculture’ to offer some practical examples of how more sustainable farming can be conducted – and supported – on the ground.

Farming for a Sustainable Future

Farming for a Sustainable Future: A guide to regenerative agriculture.

This handbook is the companion guide to the AgricaptureCO2 Regenerative Agriculture training course.

AgriCaptureCO2 is a European Union Horizon 2020 project which actively ran from 2021-2023. It joined fourteen partner organisations across seven countries with the aim of promoting the transition to regenerative agriculture as part of the European Commission’s aim to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.
