The Allerton Project is based at Loddington in Leicestershire and has been managed as a commercial farm and research centre for more than 25 years. It is the home to ground breaking conservation research where the impact of different farming systems on biodiversity, soil and water are studied in depth.
All the courses take place at our award-winning visitor centre which is heated with wood fuel and insulated with straw from the farm. Farm walks and practical elements of the course take place on the 320 hectare arable and grassland farm and course material is constantly updated with the latest results from our research team. This unique combination of farming, research, demonstration and education provides the highest quality learning experience.
